Next level stadsontwikkeling is geen stenen stapelen – het is een oneindig leerproces.

🎙 In deze aflevering van de Van Hopeloos naar Hotspot Podcast spreek ik met Remco Deelstra, strategisch adviseur wonen bij de gemeente Leeuwarden, gastdocent en redacteur bij Rooilijn.nl.

Remco’s missie? Stadsontwikkeling naar een hoger niveau tillen – door te begrijpen hoe een stad écht werkt, scherpe keuzes te maken en in partnerschappen met de samenleving de toekomst samen vorm te geven.

⏳ Steden veranderen continu. Ze moeten blijven stromen, meebewegen met maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen en voor iedereen werken. Omdat steden complexe systemen zijn, vraagt dat om blijven leren en ontwikkelen. Remco draagt daaraan bij door regelmatig interessante onderzoeken en publicaties te delen via LinkedIn – en hij legt uit waarom die relevant zijn.

Wat ik zo inspirerend vond aan dit gesprek: Remco’s vermogen om complexe stedelijke vraagstukken te verbinden met de praktijk – én zijn overtuiging dat kennis delen een activerende vorm van leiderschap is.

In this inspiring episode of the Hopeless to Hotspot Podcast, I chat with the passionate Mustafa Sherif. He’s an urban planner, studio manager at AFRY, director of Placemaking Sweden and host of the Urbanistica podcast 🎙.

Mustafa’s mission is to create child-friendly, playful, and inclusive cities.
His core belief? “A city for children is a city for all!”. Why? Because children’s needs are very basic and still very important for adults and elderly as well! Some examples: playing/moving around, meeting others and feeling part of a community.

🇸🇪 Mustafa explains that Swedish cities are known for their structure, cleanliness, and efficiency, which is wonderful of course. But the downside is that cities are over-organized –leaving too little room for spontaneity and the energy of public life – which makes cities too rigid. Therefore, he’s dedicated to bringing it back by focusing on child-friendly cities!

Hoe breng je versnelling in de woningbouw? En wat komt er eigenlijk allemaal nog meer kijken bij het ‘product’ dat wij woning noemen?

In deze podcastaflevering is Alexander van Kleef te gast om zijn kennis, ideeën en inspiratie met je te delen over de woningbouwversnelling.
